Our membership is a cross-section of the local population which comes from every community in Tattnall and surrounding Counties as well as scattered members in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. Our goal is to serve and advocate on behalf of our veterans, the local military, and our community. We give priority to veterans but will assist any member of the community in need if it’s within our capability and resources. We also provide Honor Guard and Flag Detail services (for Veteran’s funerals) as well as Flag Sponsorships for local businesses.

As of this writing, we have 53 wheelchair ramps out in a six-county area which we’ve provided free of charge to veterans and community members. Some wheelchair ramps are donated to us but mostly we purchase used aluminum ramps that are within our budget and a one or two state driving distance. We purchase ramps with money raised through Donations, Buddy Poppy sales, Boston Butt sales, Chili Cook-Offs, Chicken Quarter Dinner Plates, the occasional Benefit Ride and we host a monthly gun raffle .
